“Work easy today, and you’ll live hard tomorrow.”
You’ve probably heard those expressions before, but what do they really mean?
Work hard?
Who wants to do that?
Does it mean you have to sweat your butt off, put in such long hours that you don’t sleep, and your health suffers?
NO. Not at all!
“Working hard.”
It means putting forth your best effort day in and day out.
It means knocking out high-payoff activities that move you toward your goals before doing low-payoff activities that don’t.
It means managing yourself fully with your time and your productivity.
It means showing up to work every day with a positive and energetic demeanor.
It means caring that your attitude will affect your behavior, and your behavior will affect your performance, and your performance will determine your results, and your results will determine your success.
It means you have a burning desire to achieve whatever it is you set your mind to!
Work easy?
Who wants to do that?

Does it really?

It means half-assing your effort each day, just enough to get by and not get fired.
It means perusing social media, gossiping, stretching breaks, and doing “busy work” instead of work that actually moves you toward your goals.
It means never developing the skills to manage yourself, your time, and your productivity.
It means showing up to work every day with a nonchalant demeanor.
It means not giving a crap that your attitude will affect your behavior, and your behavior will affect your performance, and your performance will determine your results, and your results will determine your success.
It means you don’t have much of a desire to achieve anything, so you won’t.
In the real world where it’s likely you’ll work for others and with others, do you really think “working easy” will get you far?
